Karen Pridemore

Karen Pridemore is a dedicated community volunteer, longtime PTA leader, and passionate advocate for children, families, and educators. Her commitment to service has touched schools and organizations throughout the community for many years.
Karen has served in leadership and volunteer roles with the Jeffersontown Elementary PTA, Crosby Middle School PTSA, Carrithers Middle School PTSA, and Eastern High School PTSA. She currently serves on the Jeffersontown High School PTSA Board and as Vice President of Programs for the 15th District PTA. In recognition of her years of service and dedication, Karen received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kentucky PTA.
Her community involvement also includes organizing Eastern High School Band’s annual Holiday Boutique. Under her leadership, the event has grown to include more than 175 vendor spaces and attracts a large number of shoppers, creating a successful community event while supporting the school’s band program.
Before and alongside her volunteer work, Karen spent 15 years as a Motet Singer and choreographer and five years teaching aerobics. She brings the same energy, creativity, and enthusiasm from those experiences to the many
organizations she serves.
Karen has been married to her husband for 34 years, and they are the proud parents of two children—one a recent graduate of Eastern High School and the other a police officer.
At the heart of Karen’s work is a strong belief in supporting children while also advocating for the teachers and parents who help them succeed. Her newest volunteer adventure is with Snacks in Sacks, where she is excited to continue serving her community and helping provide food and support to neighbors in need.
