Snacks in Sacks is pleased to announce a return to in-person events with a bag filling event on July 24, 2021 at 11 AM in the Bethany Center of St. Martha Parish (2825 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY 40218). This event is sponsored by the St. Martha 8th grade confirmation class and is being held in memory of Riley Lawrence and Claudia Wadlington. All snack bags made will be distributed to those experiencing homelessness in the Louisville area.

There are two ways to participate and support this event:

  • Attend the in-person event on July 24 and help make snack bags. Please bring individually wrapped snack bag items and/or 1 gallon zipper bags if you are able to contribute. Our events are fun and engaging for families and individuals of all ages!

  • Donate snack food and other supplies using our Amazon wish list.

This will be Snacks in Sacks first in-person event since February 2020, and we are very excited to gather with our friends and supporters again. Please visit us on Facebook (@snacksinsacks) for updates and to RSVP for the event. Feel free to contact us through our website for more information. We look forward to seeing you on July 24 at 11 AM. Thanks for your support of Snacks in Sacks.

The numbers are in and the Ahrens Work Transition Program students made 2434 snack bags over the last two months!

All snack bags created during this collaboration will be distributed to those who need them the most - people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in the Louisville, Kentucky area.

This is an outstanding effort and wouldn't have been possible without the support of the community, the staff and teachers, and Jefferson County Public Schools. Thanks to everyone who donated and thanks so much to the students for your hard work!
